Advisory Councils

Epic’s XGM Advisory Councils provide focused learning and discussion time for specific roles and applications. These customer-only events foster constructive, progressive dialogue between Epic and the client community.

Advisory Councils are comprised of a variety of session types:

  • Presentation-style sessions, typically with 30 minutes of content and 10 minutes of Q&A.

  • Q&A-style session with a moderator and several individuals – either from different roles or different organizations – at the front of the room ready to offer their take on questions from the audience.

  • Representatives from multiple organizations present on a single topic.

  • Epic application teams review current development and discuss priorities for the future, based on the group’s ideas.

  • These sessions are typically for newer applications or specialties. Hear from Epic developers, see demonstrations, and provide your input along with others in the Epic community.

  • Get your hands in the system and learn about a specific workflow, enhancement, or personalization. Some hands-on sessions are self-guided, while others feature an Epic facilitator to guide you through a specific scenario. Session capacity is limited to the number of workstations available.

  • An informal, conversation-focused opportunity to connect with peers and Epic experts.

  • Small group discussions on a particular topic.

  • Participate in an in-depth exploration of specific functionality led by Epic experts and provide feedback along the way.

Usability Labs

Meet the Experts

Drop in and Meet the Experts working on your favorite functionality. Ask questions, provide feedback, and get to know the brains behind the bytes.
